Sight for Wight partnership
Listen with Sight for Wight
Flame Keepers is working with Sight for Wight so that the stories of former Ronson factory workers can be heard by everyone, whether or not they can read a screen.
What we are doing together
- Talking News: Over the 2026 Christmas closure, Sight for Wight will broadcast our five interviews on Talking News in half-hour parts. Sight for Wight will begin promoting the broadcasts from November to December.
- Full interviews on USB: Sight for Wight members can request all the full-length interviews on a USB stick.
Why it matters
Flame Keepers keeps the voices of the people who worked at Ronson as they were recorded, with their own words, accents and inflections intact.
Sight for Wight is one of the oldest-running charities on the Isle of Wight, having celebrated its 160th anniversary in 2025. Sight for Wight helps make sure those voices reach people who cannot easily read a website.
